Army-Navy game viewing — organizer needed

Shipmates, Dan Sullivan ’95 and I (chapter president & vp) will both be at the Army-Navy Game in Foxborough this year (my first time in person since 1989!).

We’ve organized the last two Army-Navy viewings. We’re looking for someone to organize a viewing or two in Western New York. Ideally, we will have one viewing in Buffalo and another in Rochester.

It’s an easy lift for the organizer: pick a place, coordinate it with the venue, and send us the details. We’ll email the details to the chapter, area alumni, parents club, and local WOOPs. We’ll post it on myUSNA.com as well. You can have folks RSVP to you, to us, or not at all.

Navy-Air Force game viewing 21 October

Shipmates, we’ve reserved a space at Flaherty’s Three Flags Inn — Macedon to watch the Navy – Air Force Game on 21 October. Kickoff is at noon.

 

This is the same place we hosted the last two Army-Navy Games: Flaherty’s Three Flags Inn — Macedon, 113 Pittsford Palmyra Rd, Macedon, NY 14502.

The pub opens at 1130. The pub has a cash bar and a full menu.

All fans of Navy and Air Force football are welcome. Please feel free to forward this announcement as you see fit. We’ll be inviting some Air Force Academy contacts in the area to bring their alumni and fans.

Navy-Notre Dame Game Watch 26 August

Shipmates, we’ve partnered with the Notre Dame Club of Rochester for a game viewing at Salinger’s (107 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14604) on Saturday, August 26th. Kick off is at 2:30 PM.

We’ll have the bar to ourselves until they open to the public at 5 PM. The Notre Dame Club is providing pizza, wings, and salad. The bar will be open for drinks.

The Notre Dame Club typically raises funds for charity in conjunction with their social events. They are using this event as a fundraiser for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (at our suggestion). You can make a donation at the RSVP page, but none is required.
